Russell Brunson reviews mix three products that should not share a score. ClickFunnels is software. The DotCom Secrets and Expert Secrets books are education about funnels, stories, and offers. Funnel Hacking Live and the surrounding events are rooms full of people who sell online. All three have been useful to a lot of operators, including me. I am in the ClickFunnels Eight Figure Club, which is their recognition for people who have done over $10 million through a funnel. I am not a neutral bystander, and I am also not going to tell you the software scales a company by itself.
What you actually get
You get pages, email, and a checkout that a competent marketer can assemble in an afternoon. You get a language for hooks, stories, and offers that is good enough to brief a team. You get a community that will sell you the next tool. What you do not get is a media buyer, a closer, or a client-success lead. The funnel is a pipe. Someone still has to put water in it, someone still has to close the people who come out, and someone still has to keep those people.
The harsh reviews tend to come from beginners who bought software the way other people buy a franchise, then discovered the software does not contain customers. That disappointment is understandable and it is not evidence the product is empty. A saw does not build a house. Blaming the saw is a way to avoid hiring a carpenter.
When the funnel is no longer the constraint
Once a company is at $25K a month or more, the page builder is rarely why growth stopped. The founder is filming, closing, and handling clients, and the funnel is “good enough” in the way a working car is good enough. The upgrade they keep buying is another template. The upgrade that moves the number is a person who owns the number.
That person, in my partnerships, is me and the people I put on marketing, sales, and client success. You do not pay a setup fee. You do not pay a monthly retainer for the privilege of being ignored. You keep the company. You make the content, which is the only part of a founder-led brand that cannot be handed to a stranger without the audience noticing. I am paid profit share or equity. I have made more than $15 million online and I sold my last business. Funnels were a tool inside that, the way they will be a tool inside yours. They were not the strategy.
How I would use a Russell Brunson review
Separate software complaints from education complaints. “The builder was confusing” is a product-support note. “I didn’t make money” is almost always a traffic, offer, or sales note that no page builder can settle. “The event was motivating and I still went home to the same calendar” is the one I pay attention to, because it describes a founder who already knows what a funnel is and keeps buying atmosphere. Atmosphere is fine once a year. It is not a head of sales.
I still use funnels. I have done more than $10 million through one, which is why the Eight Figure Club recognition exists on my wall. The page is a tool I will keep using inside a partnership. The decision to work together is not a decision about which login you prefer. It is a decision about who owns marketing, sales, and client success on Monday, and whether that person gets paid before the profit shows up. In my case they do not.
If you are earlier than product-market fit, buy the software, read the offer chapters, and get ten strangers to pay you. Do not hire a partner to compensate for a market that has not said yes yet. If the market has said yes and you are the bottleneck, the comparison that matters is not another funnel theme. It is a growth partner. The wider set of comparisons is on the reviews page.
The offer, stated plainly
You pay me nothing to start. I come into a founder-led company already doing $25K–$100K+ a month and I work for a profit share or equity. You keep ownership. On a full partnership we take over marketing, sales, and client success. Your job is the content. If the business does not grow, I do not get paid.
This is a done-for-you partnership, and the person in the business with you is me. I work with the founder one-on-one. I get into the company, sit in the operation, and do the work with you myself. You are dealing with me on the calls, in the numbers, and in the decisions. From there we run marketing, sales, and client success so the founder can stay on content.
That is a different product from a course, a mastermind, or a program where a team of coaches works the account after you buy. Those companies are built so their team handles the students. I am in the business with you. The economics are closer to private equity than to tuition: I only win if the company wins. I do not purchase the company. You stay the owner.
I have made more than $15 million online, built a company to eight figures, and sold that business. The portfolio I operate now does $800K+ a month. I take a small number of founders and work inside those companies myself. I do not run a class, and I do not hand you to a coach.
If you only want ads — and you will keep the sales floor and client success yourself — say that in the first message. That is a narrower engagement. It is not the full partnership, and it should not be scoped like one. Most founders who think they have an ads problem actually have a sales problem and a client-success problem sitting behind it. Content fills the top. We run everything between the content and the result.
Frequently asked questions
Is Russell Brunson legit?
Yes. ClickFunnels is real software, and the books are real education on funnels and storytelling. Kyle has personally generated more than $10 million through a funnel and is in the Eight Figure Club. The software still does not replace an operator.
Do I need ClickFunnels if I partner with Kyle?
You need a working checkout and a page. The specific software is secondary. What the partnership adds is the people who run marketing, sales, and client success, paid on the upside, with nothing due upfront.
Why do ClickFunnels reviews sound so split?
Beginners expect the software to include customers. Operators expect a page builder. Both groups review the same login. If you already have revenue, you are in the second group, and another template will not remove you from sales calls.
What should I do instead of buying another funnel course?
If you are at $25K to $100K+ a month and you are still the closer, talk to Kyle. You keep ownership and make the content. He takes marketing, sales, and client success for equity or profit share.
Want this built inside your business?
You pay nothing upfront. I partner with a small number of founder-led companies doing $25K–$100K+/month. On a full partnership my side takes over marketing, sales, and client success, and you keep the company and make the content. I am paid on equity or profit share — if the business does not grow, I do not get paid. If you only want ads run, and you will keep sales and client success, say so. That is a narrower engagement. Message me on Instagram with your revenue, your margins, and which of the two you want.
